6 Head to Head Matchups & what they may indicate for DFS + 2 Prop Bets DB Loves

  • Despite many players clubbing down due to these narrow fairways, the fairway hit % is still pretty average and driving distance is considerably lower than average. Everybody really hits it to the same spot in the fairway.

  • Historically one of the more challenging GIR courses on the PGA TOUR and difficult test overall.

  • The course has quirks. Elevation changes, slopes, doglegs, and some blind approach shots. Plus, the wind can change on a dime and different winds present different challenges, giving an edge to experience.

  • The greens are smaller than average and have plenty of slope presenting smaller landing areas. Tough to hit it close given the wind, and especially if not playing from the fairway. Firm and slightly grainy Tifeagle bermuda, but less bermuda grain as some of the overseed is still present when played in March.

  • There are 5 Par 3's and 4 Par 5's here. Very weird. Puts an emphasis on P5 Scoring and mid to long iron play.

  • DataGolf has Innisbrook as the 4th most difficult course on the PGA TOUR schedule since 2015 (non majors) along with Bay Hill and Quail Hollow.

  • Innisbrook ranks 4th LOWEST out of all courses on the current PGA TOUR schedule in driving distance average taken since 2015…right there w/ PGA NATIONAL, PGA West and Colonial

  • Top 10 narrowest fairways on PGA TOUR since 2015 around 28 yards wide on avg

  • Innisbrook ranks as the 3rd lowest GIR% (62%) on the PGA TOUR since 2015 (excluding majors)

  • DataGolf ranks SG Metrics VS a player's expectation based on course fit. It's interesting because it can reveal cheaper/long shot players that tend to level up at a certain course. Here are the Top 10 for Copperhead (Min 12 rds): Burns, Walker, Donald, Bubba, D. Lee, Tringale, Schwartzel, Blixt, Kuchar, and Kang.

  • The bottom 10 would be (Min 12 rds): HV3, DJ, Piercy, Todd, Malnati, Hahn, ZJ, Day, Laird and Gay.

  • Burns, Woodland, Streelman, and Hadwin all won here for their 1st PGA TOUR victory.

  • Like all the courses in the Florida swing, this place is tough, requires patience, endurance and solid ball striking form coming in. It's got teeth. Look for very strong mid to long iron players in good form that can scramble well and have some good showing on Florida Tifeagle Bermuda.
