The forecast calls for clear skies and hot weather out in the desert of southern Utah, but the wind might be a factor on day two. A look at the Superforecast shows the mild winds will pick up in the afternoon on Friday, potentially giving a slight advantage to the PM/AM wave.

Bud Cauley -126 ($7400) vs. Patton Kizzire -104 ($7700)

Just the one matchup for the fall schedule and we’re really making the most of it here with a matchup between heavyweights Bud Cauley and Patton Kizzire.

The former is a heavy favorite according to the sharp markets despite a $300 discount on DraftKings DFS pricing compared to Patton. With this being a new venue for the PGA TOUR, there’s nothing to report on any course history this week.

According to our Nut Hut ownership projections available in the Discord, Kizzire is the more popular play at around 12 %-owned while there may be some value in a sleeper like Cauley coming in at 4%.

Over/Unders for the Black Desert Championship

New course this week, but the report from the BTN guys on-site suggests this will be a birdie-fest where the bombers will have an advantage. Black Desert is drawing some comps to Cabo with the resort-style course, and these guys should eat it up.

With that said, I’m backing a couple of guys who show up well in this week’s BTN model to shoot a measly -3 or better in round one where we should get light winds and good scoring conditions.

*DISCLAIMER: The Chalk Bomb is CHALK for a reason! This is a ballsy call. We're simply giving you 1 player projected to be highly owned that we think could warrant a fade in order to gain leverage in DFS GPP Tournaments. Sack up & fade OR Ignore the play.

Keeping it short and sweet this week for the few diehards (and honestly, sickos) who are watching the golf this weekend instead of a PHENOMENAL college football slate.

We’ve got a never-before-seen track on our hands as Black Desert hosts a PGA TOUR event for the first time. Reports from the ground suggest this resort-style course will yield plenty of birdies, especially for the longer hitters who can take advantage of the three getable par-5s.

As a reminder, the Chalk Bomb is limited to players projected at over 15% ownership in DFS according to our proprietary projections available in the Tour Junkies Discord. This week, that leaves us with just six golfers.

Our friends at Bet the Number have done their best to identify some key data points on this new course, and they’ve singled out Driving Distance, Birdie Average and Par-5 Scoring among the key stats this week.

None of these are particular areas of strength for this week’s Chalk Bomb who owns the following ranks among this week’s field:

  • Driving Distance: 99th

  • Birdie Average: 64th

  • Par-5 Scoring: 112th

Not ideal in a field of only 115 golfers…

Now, yes… his recent form would suggest a good week for this guy. With a T3 last week and a T13 at the Procore, few players are having a better Fall on TOUR.

But we’re gonna buck the trend and hope the hot streak turns cold out in the Utah desert. Coming in at 16%-owned according to our Nut Hut DFS ownership projections, I’m looking elsewhere and dodging this chalk.

So… Lucas Glover… you are the Chalk Bomb!

One of my biggest concerns about AI is that it’s going to change a traditional robot’s voice to just sound like a real person — which is bullshit.

When high winds knock over a hornet’s nest I bet the hornets get pissed they have nothing that they can actually attack for f’in up their home.

The hard-boiled egg has to be the most consistent, universal food experience shared by humanity across time and regions.

Alright folks, that’s all I got this week for the Black Desert Championship. Stay well and good luck with all your lineups and bets. Bome!
