Shriners 2022 Heavy Petting
Heavy Petting 🍑 Shriners 2022
If golf research were sexual...you'd be rounding 2nd base after this.
Here are a few key things to know that may not have been covered on the podcast enough. Keep these in mind when narrowing down your bets and/or player pool.
Most recent winners played a Fall event before the Shriners and most made the cut (Na played and MC’d, but this is a home game for him)
Since 2010, there have been 15 first round leaders come out of the AM wave and only 5 out of the PM wave. Keep that in mind for showdowns and FRL bets.
Per DataGolf, TPC Summerlin is one of the easiest courses on the regular PGA TOUR rotation.
Given the elevation and course layout, there are considerably more approach opportunities inside 150 yards for everyone in the field. Ultimately, this will turn into a wedge it close + putting contest.
The average GIR % is 74.6 at Summerlin. It’s been top 5 to 10 easiest on the PGA TOUR since 2015 for GIR %.
All 3 par 5's carry a birdie rate over 39%. All 3 are gettable by most of the field.
Last year, more people in the top 15 lost strokes off the tee than gained off the tee. While we've added Good Drives Gained to our model, the weight for it is less than normal.

LIV Golf + Behind The Scenes as a Rookie + Caddie Controversy + Fist Fights + Cobras & MORE! The interviews with Sigg & EVR were fantastic. Both guys were extremely candid, funny and interesting. Even if you're strictly the DFS/Betting data nerd, you'll enjoy our conversations about statistics and how these guys find form week to week.

Going with a 4 way FLEX play here. The 68's required for Hadwin & Hoge were attractive as both have very strong records at TPC Summerlin and both men have already played a Fall event. Plus, they're both early morning round 1 tee times. Love it. Remember, the cut line will likely be -5 to -7, so...better shoot 68 or better the first 2 days or you're going home. Par 71. The BoB matchups are simply about picking the far better player here. Grillo has been on fire lately and Ramey stinks. C Bez is coming off a President's cup debut and Wu sucks. Easy money if you ask me. Tail at your own risk. #BOME

OTHER Pertinent Info : Wrist injury mid season. Ended up 126 in FedEx standings. Got through KFT finals. Played 21 events this season on the PGA TOUR. Highlights were 14th at USO and T8 at Travelers. Played in 5 USO’s w/ a T14 and a T27. Made the cut 3 of 5.
PODCAST INTEL: Loves tough courses. Great total driver. Good distance. Likes courses that reward total driving and aren’t wedge fests (eh hem...Shriners). Wedges are the weakness. Much better putter than the stats would say. Likes POA. Hates PGA West because it’s a wedge fest. Loves Torrey Pines.
