The weather will be perfect all week. No need to show you a picture. The winds aren't projected to get up over 10mph all week. No rain. Hotter than your nuts in a sauna. That's it. That's the weather. Don't play fat guys.

This line doesn't look all that exciting, and I'd never bet this in real life. However, it is interesting that Woodland is projected to be almost 3x the ownership as Tringale in DFS. That's quite the difference. I did find another line from our most trusted book that has Woodland a slight favorite at -117, but still...3x the ownership in DFS. In a week where there's likely to be a TON of variance with high scoring and a new course...pivoting to Catalina Tringale isn't all bad. He fits the course in terms of length, ball striking, long iron play, and ability to go low when he's on. Tringale is also a -143 favorite against Kevin Na for what that's worth.

Champ -114 vs. Theegala -114

Same line and similar story as the first matchup with these two. I was a little surprised to see one of the new Twitter DFS darlings, Theegawd, only sitting at 9%. Champ is projected around 14 to 15%, and he can certainly go deep and win. I'd argue Theegawd can win as well. He's been through the fire a little late on a Sunday earlier in the year at the Waste Management. However, it does feel like Champ's likelihood to finish DFL or MC is higher than Theegawd at the moment. Theegawd is actually a very slight favorite in this same matchup on our most trusted book. Nothing major here, but interesting given the low ownership and upside of Sahith. Plus, he's a $600 savings from Champ if you're on the same wavelength as the oddsmakers.

Smotherman +118 vs. Ortiz -152

Damn! Didn't see this one coming. Given both players incoming form, you would think this line would be flip flopped in Smothdaddy's favor. Ortiz is the other Golden Boy in Mexico this week to Abe Ancer as Carlos actually played here a lot growing up and is sponsored by Vidanta. However, I'm not so sure that's a good thing (see below). He's missed 5 of 8 cuts in 2022 with his best finish at T33. His form has certainly been lackluster. Could he find it here...? Maybe.

Smotherman on the other hand, has been playing well and checking all the ball striking boxes. His best finish in his rookie year so far is an 11th at Torrey Pines for The Farmers. But the ball striking is trending very nicely. In the last 24 rounds, he ranks 3rd in SG: APP, 9th in Opps Gained, and 21st in DK Scoring. In the last 50 rounds, he ranks 23rd in Driving Distance and 12th in 175-200 proximity. We're just waiting on the putter to come around to combine with the excellent ball striking and this kid is contending.

Smothdaddy is $800 cheaper on DraftKings and projected around 11% versus Ortiz around 8%. I'd say Smotherman is the play both in DK and I'd pound this matchup if in a legal betting state.

*DISCLAIMER: The Chalk Bomb is CHALK for a reason! This is a ballsy call. We're simply giving you 1 player projected to be highly owned that we think could warrant a fade in order to gain leverage in DFS GPP Tournaments. Sack up & fade OR Ignore the play.

This is the easiest Chalk Bomb I've written all season. The Golden Boy of Mexico, Abe Ancer, is projected around 18% and those people are dumber than a football bat.First off, Jon Rahm is at a discount at 11.3K. He should be 12K. So for 1K more than Abe, you could have Jon Freaking Rahm! And it does appear that around 30-35% of lineups will feature Jon Rahm, but those playing Abe should just pay up for Jon boy or move down the board. There's also the pressure of playing in your country's Open and all that comes with that...media bull shit, signing more autographs than normal for the ninos and ninas, family and friends asking you for everything under sun, sponsor obligations are ramped up, etc.Oh yea...plus the fact that he's sucked ass in 2022! Last 24 SG: APP 53rdLast 24 Opps Gained 77thLast 24 DK Points Scored 110thLast 50 Driving Distance 108thAND THOSE RANKINGS ARE COMPARED TO THE PLAYERS IN THIS RATCHET FIELD!Say this out loud to yourself if you're one of the 18%..."his last top 10 was 9 events ago in NOVEMBER, and I'd like to think he performs according to his $10.3K price tag magically this week because he's in Mexico."Now keep saying that until you either fall asleep, or remove him from all of your lineups. Abe does NOT fit this course at all. He's not in good form. And he wasn't born in the cart barn! He was BORN IN TEXAS! Mexico is a big damn country. Who knows if he's ever played this course, much less since they added 300 yards and doubled the bunkers! At 18% (top 5 highest) projected ownership, Abraham Texas Born Ancer, you are the Chalk Bomb!

My entire life every dentist I go to always has freezing cold water they use to rinse your teeth. Why the hell is that? I mean I am very cold sensitive in certain teeth and a cold jet stream on them f’in hurts. Why can’t they just use water that as at least lukewarm or room temperature? Or maybe just let me choose my level of water temperature. Ticks me off.I love to sleep. I think childhood actually ends though when you realize that sleep is a reward and not a punishment.I don’t understand why computers ask me to prove I’m not a robot sometimes. What gives them the right. They’re the ones that are electronic not me.I think people who leave K Cups in the Keurig coffee machine are the same people that might leave shopping carts in grocery store parking lots.Alright, that’s all I got for this week. I hope you enjoy Mexico Open on what looks to be a beautiful course at Vidanta Vallarta. Stay well, good luck with your lineups and bets, and may your screens be green! Bome!
