Let's Get Wasted 🍻

Let's Get Wasted 🍻

This Week's Tour Stop Waste Management Phoenix Open

Bloody in the morning...Tito's after 11am

Let's get WASTED! The only PGA Tour event all season where old men wear velour jumpsuits (see Thunderbirds) and grown ass men dress like Big Bird in the crowd! TPC Scottsdale is your typical desert track with loads of #NativeArea. This tournament field seems to get stronger and stronger every year, and it's great to see. Maybe it will be the 6th major one of these years. We love this week every February where we can watch this wrap up and watch the Super Bowl after!

One last note is I want to remind everyone that we're cranking out lots of new, #greatfantistic content every week on One Groove Low at

. Pat's new Fantasy Sommelier article is both great advice and laugh out loud funny, and our new season long betting piece is going to help settle the debate of course history, course fit, and recent form once and for all.

Leh Go!

 MATCHUP 1 Woodland vs. Finau

This one really grabbed my attention as Tony's missed 3 straight cuts at TPC Scottsdale, and Gary is the defending champ in solid form. Fansharesports.com has their ownership projected to be fairly close to the same around 18-21%, but I've sensed some reservation in the talking head world to play Finau based on his poor record here. It's clear that Vegas doesn't care. Finau's obviously a much different player than he was in early 2016 and 2017, so I do think you can throw those out. This line definitely makes me consider adding a few shares of Tony in DFS. But, I do like the plus money on the defending champ, Gary Woodland.

MATCHUP 2

Fowler vs Mickelson

This one really grabbed my attention due to the huge advantage MyBookie is giving Rickie over the rejuvenated Phil Mickelson. Phil's a 3x winner here. He's gained 24 strokes total here in the last 5 years. He's got well documented, deep ties to the Scottsdale area, ASU, etc. He's coming off a T2 at The Desert Classic 2 weeks ago versus Rickie's T66 last week at The Farmers. I just don't understand the line here at all. I'm jumping all over this +160 on MyBookie. You should too.

MyBookie leads the way in Golf betting, NFLNBA, MLB & even betting on the next PopeJustin Bieber's best man & more!

Stats about our boy this week:

  • If you look over the last 10 and 20 tournaments, most of his strokes gained come with the putter...which we know is highly variable.

  • He lost 2.5 strokes putting in his last event.

  • He lost nearly 5 strokes approach in his last event.

  • He was as good a course fit in terms of stats for the last course he played on as he is at TPC Scottsdale.

  • He played his first tournament last week with a brand new golf ball (the most important piece of equipment)

  • He wore his shirt untucked last week during competition.

is THE place to evaluate ownership in PGA DFS (spoiler, basically everyone that projects ownership in the industry uses FanShareSports as at least one input) and they have our guy projected at 21% this week...Rickie Fowler, you're the Chalk Bomb!

*Disclaimer - DB picked Fowler. Pat still likes him. Ben's on vacation. So...DB gets to make the call since Pat barely knows how to open the Chalk Bomb email in his inbox, much less construct it.
