HP 🍑 for the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship

Early week research for betting the Wells Fargo Championship 2024 on the PGA TOUR

If golf research were sexual…you’d be rounding 2nd base after this.

First Look: Quail Hollow Club @ Charlotte, North Carolina

Check out DB’s full Course Breakdown for everything you need to know about this week’s venue including in-depth stats and data from Bet The Number.

After what seemed like a month of below-average golf on our televisions, the elevated Wells Fargo brings promises of bigger purses and bigger names atop the leaderboard. It was here this time last year that Wyndham Clark announced himself to the golf world before going on to win the U.S. Open later that summer. Will he finally get another win now that Scheffler is out of the field? Or will another join those two as the only elevated event winners so far this year?

Let’s get into it!

Over/Unders for the Wells Fargo

Rain early in the week will soften conditions ahead of the opening round, but a big front carrying high winds is expected to roll through on Thursday, and that could make scoring even more difficult than it already is at QH. As a result, most of my plays for Round 1 are Overs, but I love Hideki and Tommy’s ability to keep bogeys off the card and shoot better than par.

Matsuyama shows up No. 1 in our Bet The Number models this week, but the same can’t be said of Tom Kim, whose lack of power OTT and his poor putting and scrambling will be a major problem on this tough setup.
