Early week research for betting the 2024 Travelers Championship on the PGA TOUR
If golf research were sexualā¦youād be rounding 2nd base after this.
First Look: TPC River Highlands @ Cromwell, Connecticut
Bryson DeChambeu may still be signing autographs at Pinehurst, but the PGA TOUR has no rest for the weary as we march on to a third-consecutive elevated event this week at the Travelers. While many of the big-name stars wouldāve preferred a week off following the US Open, a $20 million purse is sure to attract most of the worldās best to Connecticut.
The last āsignatureā event of the PGA TOUR season should provide plenty of action, so hereās everything you need to know ahead of the 2024 Travelers Championshipā¦

Over/Unders for the Travelers Championship
The Travelers is typically a bit of a birdie-fest with the winning score near or even past 20-under par, but a recent renovation may have TPC River Highlands showing a bit more teeth. That said, Iām combining a trio of low scores with a Caitlin Clark promo hoping for a 7x payout on this uninsured play.
Conners has quietly been one of the best golfers on TOUR this summer with six-straight top-30 finishes including a solo sixth at the Canadian Open and a T9 at Pinehurst last week. He ranks 2nd in the entire field in SG: APP over his last 30 rounds, and I think that should be enough to shoot -2 or better on Thursday.
Is this recency bias for Cantlay? Not reallyā¦ not when Patty hasnāt finished worse than T15 here in the last six years. He loves this course, and heās coming off his best performance of the year last week at the US Open, so hereās hoping he keeps it rolling with a 67 or better in Rd 1.
Hideki was a dark horse favorite at Pinehurst for good reason, and he paid off that confidence with a solid T6. He leads the field in SG: Around the Green over the last 30 rounds, and he bagged a T13 here last year in his first trip to TPC River Highlands.
These are the uninsured plays for this week, so hereās hoping for a 4/4 and a big payoutā¦
