HP 🍑 for the 2024 Memorial Tournament

Early week research for betting the Memorial Tournament 2024 on the PGA TOUR

If golf research were sexual…you’d be rounding 2nd base after this.

First Look: Muirfield Village @ Dublin, Ohio

Check out DB’s full Course Breakdown for everything you need to know about this week’s venue including in-depth stats and data from Bet The Number.

The action has been heating up across North America over the last few days as we inch closer to Pinehurst and the US Open on the horizon. Big Shot Bob MacIntyre finally broke through with his first PGA TOUR win (but has technically still never won on US soil), and the Longest Day in Golf brought its usual drama and excitement as pros and amateurs from all over battled it out for the last remaining spots in next week’s tournament.

But before we lock in on the year’s third major, we’ve got a stacked field and an elevated event up at Muirfield Village to get excited about…

Let’s get into it!

Over/Unders for the Memorial Tournament

The forecast is calling for some tough, windy conditions on Thursday with gusts reaching 20+ mph at times throughout the day. Combine that with Muirfield Village’s reputation as one of the more difficult layouts on the PGA TOUR rota, and you’ve got yourself a challenging opening round.

As such, I’m expecting a few bogeys from big names on a course that usually provides them, and 2.5 seems very doable given the expected scoring conditions. Keep in mind, Viktor Hovland made 3 or more bogeys in every single round last year at the Memorial and he won the damn thing. I’m also taking Fitz to finish outside the top 20 for the tournament — he’s boom or bust here with two top 10s and three finishes of T68 or worse. Here’s hoping for the latter in this uninsured play!
