HP 🍑 for the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open

Early week research for betting the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open on the PGA TOUR

If golf research were sexual…you’d be rounding 2nd base after this.

First Look: The Renaissance Club @ North Berwick, Scotland

With the Open Championship just around the corner, the PGA TOUR heads across the pond to link up with its European cousins on the DP World Tour for one last tune-up before the final major of the year. Though not a true ‘links’ course, The Renaissance Club and the Scottish Open have proven to be a useful warmup game for the following week’s Open Championship. Since the Scottish Open became a co-sanctioned event by both major tours beginning in 2022, both Open Champions finished T12 or better in this event. Who will take home the top prize this week? And perhaps more importantly, who will show they’re ready for Royal Troon?

Over/Unders for the Genesis Scottish Open

We’re used to seeing some pretty low scores at the Renaissance Club — assuming the weather cooperates of course. But a look at this week’s forecast shows that rain should soften things up before clearing out ahead of Thursday’s opening round, and mild winds throughout the day should allow for some good scores

With that in mind, I’m backing a pair of total stroke unders on the par-70 track this week. Both ‘Toms’ have excellent records at this event with nine sub-69 rounds between them over the last two Scottish Opens.

With scoring conditions as soft as they’ll be all week, 3-under should be very doable for both of these guys to cash this two-leg parlay.
