HP 🍑 for the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge

Early week research for betting the Charles Schwab Challenge 2024 on the PGA TOUR

If golf research were sexual…you’d be rounding 2nd base after this.

First Look: Colonial Country Club @ Fort Worth, Texas

As hard as it may be to move on from the events of last week… we’ve got to try. Between Xander Schauffele’s record-breaking breakthrough to traffic trouble and the small story that was Scottie Scheffler — the PGA TOUR was well and truly drunk last week, and we’re all still dealing with the hangover. Even so, the golf season moves on to the familiar Colonial Country Club for a bit of a breather before we gear up for the US Open next month. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge…

Let’s get into it!

Over/Unders for the Charles Schwab

Much like last week, some wet weather is expected to soften the course up for round one, and I’m counting on that making the notoriously difficult scoring conditions at Colonial slightly easier.

There are only two par fives on the course, but we only need one birdie to cash the under for Scheffler. He played the par-5s in -4 for the tournament last year, and I expect him to flex his length and long irons with at least one circle on the card on Thursday. As for Collin, Colonial’s positional play and soft greens should allow him to flash his world-class iron game that’s been hot as of late. Remember, we’re on a par-70 this week, and Morikawa has shot par or better in 12 of his 14 competitive rounds at Colonial over his career.

No insurance on the two-legger, but I like the chances for a quick payday here to start the week.
